The concluding chapter of Park Chan-Wook's epic revenge trilogy is unanimously the most artistic one of the three in any and every way possible. Mas nagustuhan ko ito than Mr. Vengeance not of the plot but because of the characters. Yung steps of scenarios along the way really captivates the uniqueness of the individuality of the main character much to my joy. The anger, pain and angst she endured along the way and the guilt tapos may iilan pang dramatic scenes, not to mention the unintentional humor, splendid.
All the major characters of past films Oldboy and Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance can be seen here and if you chronologically watched the film, a slight tinge of nostalgia would probably breeze its way upon you.
Balita ko pa Hollywood has plans of remaking this movie starring Charlize Theron. I would probably choose someone more "innocent-looking", not that she isn't. Someone highly respected like, say, with a Julia Roberts-kind-of-persona.
